I haven’t been scammed, but this is what I’ve seen lately. I’ve also been trying to sell my car recently.

1. “Your auto warranty is expiring“. If you google the out of state phone number that dials you, then you’ll find that these guys are calling anyone that they can get a phone number for. Even people who don’t have a car. Sometimes multiple times a day. Best way to annoy them is answer their call, and waste as much as their time as possible and tell them to “shove it” when they realize that you’re purposely messing with them. Try to laugh hysterically too.

2. Caroffer.com is a scam. They scour through autotrader.com or craigslist.org listings and call you about getting cash for selling your car. Obviously ignoring them is the most worth while.
