For all the people who DON’T have an iPhone…

Sadly, there’s no free service with constantly updating stock alerts, unless one of the online calendar applications will eventually have it. Or maybe I’ll have to write something like that for the fun of it.

All being said: There is on-demand SMS stock alerts by Google and Yahoo!

Google is as simple as texting “466453” (‘Google’ on keypad) with:
stock aapl

Yahoo is as simple as texting “92466” (‘Yahoo’ on keypad) with:
s aapl

I’m planning to use Google since they have more SMS features listed on their site. It seems harder to find the list for Yahoo, since they seem to specialize on faster mobile web pages instead of SMS texting. Weather actually has better info on Google too.
